We’re thrilled to announce that Wiggly has been awarded the Gloucestershire Foodies 2025 Food Hero Award – recognising the heart, soul and impact of our inclusive community cookery!

This award is a powerful celebration of what Wiggly stands for: creating safe, relaxed spaces where people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities can come together through food.

Our cookery sessions help reduce isolation, build confidence, and give people the skills to cook for themselves and their families – all through accessible, seasonal food made with care.

Our pay as you can community lunches at School House Cafe bring people together over a hot meal each week, no matter what they can afford.

We are a small team striving to make a big impact, so to receive this recognition means so much.

We share this award with our amazing participants, volunteers, supporters, funders and partners who together make Wiggly what it is.

A Double Win…

And to add to our good news – Social Source, our exciting new social enterprise developed in partnership with Project Grow, also won the Start-Up Award at the same event!

Social Source is a farm to fork collaboration working to deliver social impact through our jars of goodness.    It creates pathways for people with lived experience to grow and produce a range of seasonal sauces and preserves which help sustain the wider work of Wiggly and Project Grow.

Together, these two awards recognise not only where we’ve come from – but where we’re going.
