Do you want to get involved with Wiggly and do some cooking?

There’s lots going on at Wiggly and plenty of opportunities to cook with us if you’re keen to learn more in the kitchen.

Here’s a taster of what we’ve got planned for the next couple of months.

Fresh Hope Community Lunchevery Monday from 1230-1330 at the School House Cafe in St Paul’s in Cheltenham, our Wiggly Chef cooks a fabulous hot meal made with locally sourced seasonal vegetables provided by Good Food Cheltenham.   We began supporting this fabulous initiative, led by Fresh Hope Charity, in November, and since then its popularity has grown as word is getting out.   It is run on a pay-as-you-can system, so even if you can’t afford to pay, you are more than welcome to join us around the table for a hearty meal.  Just pick up a token at the counter, pay what you can (even if it’s nothing) and give your token to our Chef, no questions asked.   Everyone is welcome and we love to see the community coming together around the table each week for a delicious freshly cooked meal.

Enrich Health and Wellbeing courses at St Mark’s Church Hall in Cheltenham – run in collaboration with Cheltenham Borough Homes and other great community service providers like Isborne, Goals beyond Grass and 3-Age-Fitness, this wonderful project offers free sessions every Tuesday from 1100-1300 to help you start your health and wellbeing journey for 2024.   Whether you are interested in cooking with Wiggly, or are keen to try mindfulness, yoga, exercise or nature walks, there is something for everyone at Enrich.  To book your place or find out more, contact clare.davies@cbh.org

Low Waste Cookery Workshops across Gloucestershire – sponsored by Gloucestershire County Council, Wiggly are running several free cookery sessions across the county to help you learn how to make delicious meals using the most commonly wasted ingredients in our kitchens. Our experienced Wiggly chef will guide you through practical tips and creative recipes in these interactive sessions.   Sessions will be held at the following locations, with three more locations to follow:

  • Harts Barn Cookery School, Longhope Thursday 15th February
  • Oakley Community Centre, Cheltenham Thursday 29th February
  • Wiggly Community Kitchen, Westgate St, Gloucester Wednesday 6th March

There will be two sessions at each venue: 11am-1pm or 2pm – 4pm.
